GOING GREAT

Well I have just finished my sixth week back at work. The gradual return was successful, now i'm doing my full shifts of twelve hours. I am loving it too, I have a new appreciation for my job, a job that I came close to not returning to. I came close to never working again, but thank God I can. I am on a new team with new faces, but everyone seems to be real great to work with. I used to hate going to work, but now I look forward to it. It is the same place, and alot of the same people, but my attitude toward it has changed, and I am loving it.

BACK TO WORK

I'm back at work, as of yesterday(Monday) The company I work for is E - One Moli Energy, based in Maple Ridge, nice and close to home. The company makes lithium ion batteries, mostly for a major power tool company. I have been there since 2002.

I was a total nervous wreck a few days before, and the bus ride there on my first day, but once I was there I was fine. There are many changes since the last time I was there in July 2005. Over the past year they have phased out the machines I once ran, these changes I was aware of before I left, they were starting to introduce new equiptment at that time and operators were starting to get trained on them. Now that I am back, I will be trained on the new equiptment also. I am so glad they didn't just stick me in there and say " go for it" They have set me up with a trainer, and he will slowly introduce the new system to me. I could just jump in if it were the old machines that I ran for three years, however, they are gone.

I am starting at six hour shifts, slowly working my way up to the regular twelve hour shifts. I have a good feeling about being back, and think positively about my future with the company, as it is a great company to work for with great benefits and great pay. Wish me luck over the next few weeks.

JUST HANGING OUT

Hi everyone,

I had a nice weekend with my kids, hanging out here at the house playing games, and swimming in the pool lots. We are babysitting Binzen(Susan and Keiths dog) while they are in Edmonton.

On Monday, Keiths sister Donna came here with her two kids, and she also brought her nephews and neice from Edmonton(whom are staying with her for a few weeks) My sister Sheila came over as well with her two kids. We had a total of ten kids here, including my two. We all swam in the pool and had a nice barbequed lunch. It was such a blast having all the kids here together.

Today, I took my kids to the mall, we had lunch there, and bought them both a new game boy game. I bought myself a boxed set of Northern Exposure dvd's, I have wanted it for some time now, so I bit the bullet today. Eddie had his hair cut while we were at the mall, there is a great little place that I take him to called brutes and brats.

We are home now, and I am blogging, and they are both playing there new games, ahhh the peace and quiet....... it's soooo nice.

LITTLE BRITCHES RODEO

One the weekend past I attended a childrens rodeo called The Little Britches Rodeo. It was so much fun watching such little kids compete in different events. These little kids were riding bucking steers, and riding around different obsticles to compete for the best time. They rode around poles as fast as they could, and barrels too. One of the cutest events was the goat tail tying event. The rider comes into the arena on a horse, passes an electronic eye, races to the end of the arena, hops off the horse, ties a ribbon on the goats tail, then jumps back on the horse and races back to the other end passing the electronic eye once again getting a recorded time. It was real fun to watch these little kids. Alot of very nice friendly people there, every one cheering on the competitors. I will definately go again, it is so different than watching adults compete.....these kids are amazing.
